Danijel Jurišić was born in 1983, in Osijek, Croatia. He graduated from Archdiocesan Classical High School (Nadbiskupska klasična gimnazija) and completed a secondary music school program, guitar department, at Elly Basic Music School (Glazbeno učilište Elly Bašić) in Zagreb, in the class of Prof. A. Danijel’s repertoire covers the music of different periods and styles: Renaissance and Baroque music, original guitar music from the 19th to the early 20th century, popular and classical music of the 19th and 20th century, as well as contemporary music and music of Croatian composers for the guitar (Ante Čagalj, Zoran Ščekić, Darko Pelužan, Luka Medić).
He has often performed, both individually and with ensembles, at opening ceremonies, promotions, productions and festivals (Dani gitare, Muzički Biennale Zagreb and others). He played with Cantus Ansambl, Croatian National Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, and with HRT Big Band.
He is currently living, studying and working in Zagreb. He is a senior student at the Catholic Theological Faculty, majoring in philosophy and theology. Since 2007 he has been teaching the guitar and ensemble playing at the Rock Music Academy and Elementary Music School of Popular and Jazz Music.
