Danijel Jurišić is a lutenist and a guitarist from Zagreb. He has played all kinds of different musical pieces dating from renaissance and baroque to modern music using different instruments. In the last few years he has focused his attention to music written for the baroque lute, especially to the work of J. S. Bach.

He earned his master’s degree in philosophy and theology at the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb with the thesis “Way to God – J. S. Bach: Ciaccona BWV 1004”.

He studied the guitar under professor Ante Čagalj at the Music College Elly Bašić in Zagreb and the lute under professor Boris Šinigoj at the Music School Vič Rudnik in Ljubljana.

Danijel participated in different music projects and collaborated with various ensembles and musicians (Symphonic orchestra and BigBand HRT, Cantus ensemble, “Dani gitare”, MBZ, Croatian Music Center, etc.). He worked as a guitar and chamber music teacher at the Music College for Popular and Jazz Music and Rock Academy, Tritonus Music school and the Vrbovec Music School.

At the moment Danijel devotes his time to Music School “MOZAIK ZVUKA” where he teaches guitar (classical, electric and acoustic), lute, ukulele, mandolin and chamber music. Furthermore, he gives solo concerts on the baroque lute and lectures about baroque lute, for which he also composes his own music.
